Hi....we are not open 7 days, 24 hours a day. So please if we do not get back to your call be patient. We may be closed for the day (as we were last Tuesday, Melbourne Cup Day) or may be baking &/or decorating & therefore cannot answer our phone so please leave a message. And if we don't answer at 10pm on a Sunday night or before 7am or after 9pm on any given day, it is because we are closed. We will attempt to return your call but it may not always be immediately.
We offer a custom design service & therefore spend at least a couple of hours on each design/job before job confirmation/payment.
We are also fully booked until the xmas period.

Illegal photo use
Please....again, can other cupcake businesses STOP using our photos & passing them off as their own. It is illegal, & morally wrong. It is also deceiving your customers & not a good way to start off your business. And for the Sydney cupcake business doing this .please stop! How can you advertise yourself as the award winning business of the year if you have to pass off other peoples work as your own??

Le Cupcake on TV!
Everyone has been stopping us to tell us they have seen us on TV. We filmed for the Disney Channel ages ago & it has been showing since January & runs like an advertisement inbetween TV shows. It was apparently on 3 times 2 nights ago & has been on regularly since January. I don't know how much longer it will be on, but thank you everyone who has emailed etc to let me know they saw the show!! I keep getting told my cupcakes are now famous!!!

Sydney Day out! (At Planet Cake)
Planet Cake is probably Australia's best cake place, creating & designing the most beautiful & amazing cakes....many for celebrities! So when Naomi, a flickr cake friend (www.flickr.com) organised for a few of us to meet up in Sydney when Chris (another flickr friend) was visiting from England.....we decided to go on a cake/cupcake crawl!
Only a couple of us could make it for the day meet so I surprised Chris (actually I accidently forgot to tell her) & took them to Planet Cake for a visit.
Paris is a wonderful person...& her crew are lovely of course! So this I think was the highlight of Chris & Naomi's day.....

A simple modern Wedding Cake
The bride requested a red heart with a black "K" on it to match their tattoos!
I was worried it may look too plain so I added the black ribbon & glad I did as it added oomph to it!
The cake is my favourite vanilla heaven with maple buttercream, with 7 chocolate mud kitchen cakes too (for out the back to be served separately for the guests)

Cupcake Business's & stolen photos!
I suppose I should be used to it by now but it is really getting ridiculous...so many cupcake businesses around the world are using stolen photos to falsely promote their business.
I really do wonder what they actually give their customers....I think it's time they stopped deceiving their customers & did the right thing. It's one thing to use a photo without permission, but to have your whole business based on another business's photos.....& therefore reputation... is just sad.....
This site in particular has used all stolen photos, nearly all of them mine. Read the rubbish they write about "their" cakes.......I would love to be a fly on the wall when they present their cakes to their customers!!

Cupcake for the Shoot
A 5 minute decorated cupcake for the Disney Show. I had to redo another cupcake I had made for the shoot...luckily I had pre made decorations on hand for it!

We wanted to film at our local beach, Clovelly beach, but it was too exspensive. Unfortunately the council charrges a fortune to film on the beaches..or anywhere for that matter. Bronte was alot cheaper.....(They wonder why the Sydney film industry is falling apart!!!!)

Customers
Hi,
Just informing customers that I have a display room, & do not have a shop front. The reasons for this are many.
I cannot decorate the cakes I do as well as front a shop. I supply custom one of a kind quality cakes, not mass produced, not cakes from mixes, I don't buy them, they are all baked by myself, & decorated by myself, so that unfortunately leaves no time to front a shop.
As most people know, alot of people in the cake industry don't have shop fronts due to similar reasons, & to the high costs involved. In my local area they are charging $1600 rent per week for some shops. Add to that the renovating costs (& the fact they may make you leave after the lease is up) the electicity, gas, water, etc etc....It's extremely expensive. Then, unless you are willing to pay thousands per week to be in a Westfield shopping centre, you wont get the passing trade as they do. So, having a shop is not viable for my business, & would also detract from the time needed to make my cakes. If you think it is unprofessional not going to a shop to conduct your business, then please keep these things in mind. You will find few that provide the highly decorated cupcakes as I do, for the same reasons I have outlined.

So I apologise for the inconveniece & hopefully it will be up & running shortly.

A call to all cake businesses......
We are making an attempt to stamp out negative bullying behaviour by a very small number of businesses..so please remember to play it nice. Concentrate on your business rather than trying to discredit other businesses. It makes our industry look bad when such behaviour occurs. So please don't engage in such behaviour, & if you have concerns with another business deal with them in person, or by phone or email, NOT on public internet sites or cake forums. It doesn't look good for the industry.
